Privacy
Clicked is run from Puerto Princesa, Palawan. This says what it keeps, what it does not, and what you can make it forget.
What it keeps
- Your email address. In one table, used to sign you in. It is never returned by any route and never shown to another member.
- Your photograph and your selfie. Private files. They are never given a public address, and another member sees your photograph only after a person has confirmed it is you.
- What you wrote about yourself. How you live, what you are open to, and anything you typed into a message or a note.
- What happened. Who was introduced to whom, what the outcome was, and any report about you. These are kept as records of events rather than as facts about a person.
What it never keeps
- Your date of birth. It is checked once to confirm you are 18 or over, and then dropped. No table has a column for it.
- Your password. There is not one. You sign in with a code sent to your address.
- Your location. The product is for one city and does not track where you are inside it.
- Payment details. Clicked never holds, moves or calculates money.
Who you are open to
Whether you are open to women, men or both, and whether you meet as a couple, is sensitive personal information under the Data Privacy Act. It is stored in one place, returned only to you, and never appears on a list, in a search or in a log.
Erasing your account
You can erase it yourself, from the app, with a code sent to your address for that purpose. It deletes your address, your pictures and their files, what you wrote about yourself, every session, and every row pairing you with somebody else.
What stays is the record of what happened, holding an account number and nothing else. A safety report that disappears when its subject asks is not a safety report. The number no longer leads to a person.
Who else sees anything
- Cloudflare serves the site and stores the data.
- Resend sends the sign-in emails, and therefore handles your address.
- Turnstile, from Cloudflare, checks that a sign-in request is a person.
Nobody else. There is no advertising, no analytics that identify you, and nothing is sold.
